The "UEC-Klimov" enterprise (part of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec) in St. Petersburg was visited by the head of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute," Mikhail Kovalchuk. The company showed the delegation all stages of creating modern aircraft engines TV7-117ST-01 and VK-650V for the Il-114-300 aircraft and the "Ansat" helicopter, respectively.
UEC noted that in the mechanical processing workshop, the efforts of machine operators, adjusters, turners, and milling machine operators were combined. Modern blade heat treatment technologies and robotic systems minimize the number of defects.
One such robot is capable of independently polishing, grinding, and controlling the accuracy of part processing, which significantly speeds up the process.
In the assembly and kitting shops, there are assembly lines for engines - from the legendary VK-2500 to the latest VK-650V. A new robotic system for kitting parts from the warehouse, which delivers all the necessary components directly to the conveyor according to the modular principle, significantly increases the assembly speed, UEC added.
After that, the power plants are sent to the test bench, where the engines undergo a final check of their characteristics and reliability.
Earlier,www1.ru reported that the assembly of the first tail section of the MS-21-310 aircraft began at the Sokol aircraft plant.
