Specialists from the "Granit" concern have developed a new twin-engine reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the aircraft type with a straight wing "Os-25-R". The novelty is in the class of the already known "Orlan-30" device and has a take-off weight of 29 kg with a payload weight of 8 kg.
The practical ceiling of the "Os-25-R" can reach 5500 m with a cruising speed of 135 - 150 km/h. The flight range is about 300 km with a radius of action of 150 km.
The main purpose of the "Axis" is operational-tactical optoelectronic reconnaissance to an operational depth of 80 - 130 km, for which the drone can be equipped with a turret multispectral television-thermal imaging module with long-focus optical systems and a laser guidance system for Kh-38ML tactical missiles.
In addition, the drone can carry retransmission terminals to provide secure tactical communications between units. The invulnerability of the device to electronic warfare is ensured by GLONASS modules based on CRPA antennas.
