Belarusian MAZ-54A02N LNG tractor handed over to Gazprom's "daughter" for trial operation

The truck received an engine with a capacity of 419 hp and a robotic 12-speed gearbox

JSC "Minsk Automobile Plant" (MAZ) has handed over a MAZ-54A02N tractor running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the Russian company Gazprom Helium Service (a subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom) for trial operation. The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

The tractor is equipped with cryogenic LNG tanks with a total capacity of 930 liters. They can store fuel without drainage for 7 days. The use of LNG tanks allows increasing the load on the fifth wheel coupling to 10 tons.

MAZ-54A02N is designed for the transport of dangerous goods (ADR), has a robotic 12-speed gearbox.
