OJSC "Minsk Automobile Plant" (MAZ) handed over a MAZ-54A02N tractor running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the Russian company Gazprom Helium Service (a subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom) for trial operation. The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
The tractor is equipped with cryogenic LNG tanks with a total capacity of 930 liters. They can store fuel without drainage for 7 days. The use of LNG tanks allows increasing the load on the fifth wheel coupling up to 10 tons.
MAZ-54A02N is designed for the transport of dangerous goods (ADR), has a robotic 12-speed gearbox.

Gazprom Helium Service implements investment projects using cryogenic technologies, including for the production and logistics of helium and LNG. The company's fleet includes 35 KamAZ LNG tractors and 68 semi-trailers for the transport of isothermal containers.
