The "Sobol NN" with a new Russian bi-fuel engine Evotech A3055 with a volume of 3.0 liters was shown in St. Petersburg. The car is capable of running on AI-92 gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG).
The Gorky Automobile Plant plans to establish mass production of bi-fuel "Gazelles" and "Sobols" of the NN generation. The exhibition copy was created to test the interest of potential buyers. If demand is confirmed, a new version can be quickly launched at the plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
Evotech 3.0 — an updated version of the Ulyanovsk engine with a volume of 2.7 liters, the power of which has increased from 106 to 120 hp, and the torque from 220 to 252 N·m. The transition to a bi-fuel system allows cars to flexibly choose fuel and potentially save on operation due to the lower price of gas. However, in terms of power and traction, the new engine is still inferior to a diesel engine with 150 hp.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the all-wheel drive "Sobol NN" of the new generation is available for order.
