Specialists from the company "Criterion", together with leading Samara surgeons, have developed a unique instrument for minimally invasive hand surgery and rapid restoration of its functions. This was reported by the manufacturer's press service.
Initially, employees of the Technopark of Samara State Medical University (SamSMU) developed 3D models of the instrument, and engineers from "Criterion" refined them taking into account important technical aspects: density, accuracy, and ergonomics.
The new instrument is designed for multiple uses. It will replace disposable plastic counterparts of foreign production.
Features of the instrument for hand microsurgery:
- Made of 95x18 steel (high-alloy stainless steel)
- Undergoes induction hardening (technology of heating metal with alternating high-frequency currents to a specified temperature)
- Ergonomic design
- Precise grinding
The company's press service stated that an experimental batch of products has passed testing. The second batch of instruments is ready for shipment.
