The universal support structure KOZ-U-Sh was developed in Russia to protect tanks from attacks by drones weighing up to 200 kg. This was announced by Ivan Klyuchnikov, project manager of Amast Power Lines.
The KOZ-U-Sh design specializes in protecting vertical, steel tanks with a volume of 400 to 50 thousand cubic meters. We have already implemented about 150 such free-standing structures. There was a successful experience of industrial operation during drone attacks. Two drones weighing up to 200 kg and (at a speed) of up to 200 km/h flew into one structure, and one drone into another structure.
The structure is framed with cable nets, and a gabion net is laid on top.
The shape of the KOZ-U-Sh resembles a trampoline. This reduces the risk of tank destruction when a drone hits.
Although a UAV can hit the structure, the protection prevents critical damage. Similar structures are also manufactured to protect transformer substations.
What we are presenting is really the last line of defense, in fact, a "bulletproof vest", when something is already flying directly into the object. And, accordingly, our grid is used in various versions to create volumetric protective ограждающих structures, as our colleagues do.
The grid passed tests at the Ministry of Emergency Situations training ground, where a block weighing 175 kg was dropped on it from a height of 11.9 m. It successfully passed the tests.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that engineers of the NTI developed a unique system for protecting industrial facilities from UAVs.
