The MT-LB is armed with a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun

Russian military personnel have assembled an improvised self-propelled anti-aircraft gun based on the MT-LB tracked tractor, which is called "motolyga." The combat vehicle is protected by additional "armor" made of rubber sheets and logs.

The tractor's protection is also ensured by lattice screens. Such structures can reduce damage from an FPV drone strike.

A ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun is mounted on the roof of the motolyga's hull, capable of engaging low-flying targets and enemy personnel. The maximum firing range of the "zushka" is 2.5 km. The installation allows up to 2000 rounds per minute to be fired.

The weight of the MT-LB in its basic configuration is about 10 tons, with a capacity of two crew members and 11 soldiers in the troop compartment. The low-profile silhouette allows the "motolyga" to hide from enemy fire in the folds of the terrain and operate near the front line.
