Russian military personnel have assembled an improvised self-propelled anti-aircraft gun based on the MT-LB tracked tractor, nicknamed "motolyga." The combat vehicle is protected by additional "armor" made of rubber sheets and logs.
The tractor's protection is also ensured by lattice screens. Such structures can reduce damage from an FPV drone strike.
A ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun, capable of engaging low-flying targets and enemy personnel, is mounted on the roof of the motolyga's hull. The "zushka's" maximum firing range is 2.5 km. The installation allows for up to 2000 rounds per minute.
The MT-LB weighs about 10 tons in its basic configuration, with a capacity of two crew members and 11 soldiers in the troop compartment. The low-profile silhouette allows the "motolyga" to hide from enemy fire in the folds of the terrain and operate near the front line.
