The Russian automotive industry today is represented by more than 20 brands of passenger cars and about 50 models, including sedans, crossovers, SUVs and pickups. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov.
For many, the usual pattern remains to identify the entire industry with AvtoVAZ - of course, this is one of the key enterprises with the most significant production volumes. But only in the passenger car segment in our country are cars of more than 20 brands produced, and more than 50 models stand on their own assembly lines
In Russia, cars with internal combustion engines, gas-powered vehicles, as well as electric vehicles and series hybrids are being developed and produced. Light commercial and грузовые vehicles are also widely represented - from UAZ and GAZ to KamAZ, Ural and Sollers models.
In 2025, the launch of new models continues: Lada Iskra, Sollers SP7 minivan, several models of the Tenet brand and Voyah hybrids have already been launched on the assembly lines. The start of production of the "Atom" electric car is planned before the end of the year, and work is on schedule.
