Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers of the long-range aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed a scheduled flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Bering and Okhotsk Seas.
The duration of the flight was more than 14 hours. At certain stages of the route, the missile carriers were escorted by fighters from foreign countries.
The fighter escort was provided by the crews of Su-35s and Su-30sm aircraft of the Aerospace Forces. During the flight, the crews of long-range aviation aircraft carried out aerial refueling.
Long-range aviation crews regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Pacific Ocean, Baltic and Black Seas. All flights of the Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace, which emphasizes the country's commitment to compliance with international norms and standards.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Tu-95MS and Tu-160 pilots will begin training in Ulyanovsk.
