The Su-34NVO generation "4+" fighter-bombers, possessing multifunctional capabilities, have begun to be actively equipped with new modernized universal planning and correction modules UMPC-PD (increased range).
The new modules, designed to increase the range, have an original wing design: it consists of two sections, with the front section being folding and the rear section being fixed, which increases the bearing qualities of the UMPC glider.
The introduction of the new module allows increasing the planning range. When dropped from a suspension unit at an echelon of over 10,000 m and a speed of 900 km/h, the range increases from 60 to 80-90 km. When dropped from an echelon of over 12,500 m and a speed of 1000-1050 km/h, the range reaches 100-110 km.
