Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Concern has delivered air defense equipment to the troops ahead of schedule under the state order for 2025, the company's press service reported.
Almaz-Antey has transferred Buk-M3 medium-range air defense systems and counter-battery warfare equipment to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The press service emphasized that the concern fulfilled part of its obligations under the state defense order for 2025 ahead of schedule.
About the Buk-M3 SAM
The Buk-M3 was developed at the V. Tikhomirov Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Engineering on the basis of the Buk-M2. Production of the complex began in 2016.
The Buk-M3 engages aerial targets flying at speeds up to 3 km/s at altitudes up to 35 km and at distances up to 70 km. The complex is highly likely to intercept cruise missiles and maneuvering aerial targets.
