Aircraft manufacturers "Yakovlev" modified the airframe of the SJ-100

Changes were required to install Russian systems and units

Specialists of PJSC "Yakovlev" (part of the United Aircraft Corporation of Rostec) modified the airframe for the production of the import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft, said Sergey Kuznetsov, Chief Designer of the aircraft.

According to him, obtaining approval of the Main Change to the type certificate regarding the updated design allowed the production of the airframe according to serial design documentation.

The modification of the airframe was required for the installation of Russian systems and units, as well as to simplify the production process and maintenance of the aircraft.

On Friday, August 5, the first flight was made by the import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft with number 97004. The aircraft is equipped with fully domestic systems and units, including PD-8 engines.

Earlier www1.ru reported that ODK found a way to reduce the weight of the PD-8 aircraft engine for SJ-100 and Be-200 aircraft.
