St. Petersburg LLC "Underwater Drones" and Moscow LLC "Laboratory of Underwater Communication and Navigation" have joined forces to create the company MORRO for commercial underwater research.
We have been cooperating for a long time. "Underwater Drones" makes underwater vehicles, and "Laboratory of Underwater Communication and Navigation" makes underwater navigation systems. We have quite a few projects that we are implementing together: we install their navigation systems on our underwater vehicles. Both founding companies have been receiving requests for underwater services for quite some time, but we did not have enough competencies and resources to perform them separately, and we thought: why not create a joint company that will specialize in such work.
According to Ivan Putintsev, it is planned to provide services, including inspection of ships and various structures, search for objects, support for underwater works, such as construction, and survey of the water area.
In the coming years, MORRO plans to reach an annual income of about 300 million rubles. Currently, the company is agreeing on a number of contracts for underwater work and is negotiating with potential customers, which indicates a high interest in its services in the market.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the underwater perch robot was modernized at Samara University.
