Russian Railways employees, together with volunteers from the National Center for Helping Missing and Injured Children, conducted a joint training exercise at the railway stations of St. Petersburg and Kazan. The exercises involved modern technologies, including facial recognition systems and data from electronic tickets.
Different scenarios were used in each city. For example, volunteers were looking for a runaway child, focusing on his payment receipts at the station's food court. This scenario allowed us to find out how the operational services are ready to coordinate efforts to search for children.
It is worth noting that over the past year, volunteers have been able to return almost 700 children, thanks to the work of a unified information exchange platform. And over the past six months, public figures have found about 1,500 missing children.
