The Rostec State Corporation has presented a complete lineup of Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun systems. The advanced systems were developed by the High-Precision Systems holding company.
First among the systems is the Pantsir-S1M, equipped with three types of ammunition. The Pantsir-S1M has received new anti-aircraft guided missiles (SAMs), increasing the target engagement range from 20 to 30 km and the altitude from 15 to 18 km. Overall, the protected area has increased threefold.
Next is the Pantsir-ME, designed for installation on warships. Its uniqueness lies in its modern radar and optical target detection and tracking capabilities. Additionally, the naval Pantsir has missile and artillery armament.
A more profound modernization is the Pantsir-SMD-E. A feature of the system is remote control, managed by just one operator. It can be located up to 500 m away, with control via fiber optics.
The famous Arctic Pantsir-SA on the chassis of a DT-30PM two-section tracked vehicle also frequently appears even in the middle zone. The structural differences of the combat module consist of the absence of 30-mm 2A38 anti-aircraft automatic guns and the installation of six additional anti-aircraft missiles in their place. The total ammunition load has increased from 12 to 18 57E6/M missiles.
A NATO profile committee called the Russian Pantsir-S SAM system the best in combating drones. The system fills the gap in regular air defense units between countermeasures against large UAVs and systems for combating miniature drones.
Earlier,www1.ru reported thatRostec revealed the features of the Malka howitzer after modernization.
