Russia has agreed to help China save its aviation industry by offering to establish supplies of aircraft engines. This opinion was given by the editor-in-chief of the Avia.ru portal, aviation expert Roman Gusarov.
Earlier, Chinese media reported that Moscow had allegedly agreed to supply Russian aircraft engines to Beijing. Moreover, the United States had previously planned to stop selling power units for the Chinese COMAC C919 airliner.
Gusarov clarified that the C919 aircraft belongs to the same class of airliners as the Russian MC-21-310. The engine, which is installed on the MC-21, has already passed all tests and received certification.
Our planes have been successfully flying on it for several years. If the United States and other Western countries decide to ban the supply of their units to China, then our PD-14 will be the only alternative in the world.
At the same time, according to him, Russia should expand production capacity to help China. The current pace is designed only for the production volumes of MC-21 aircraft.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Il-114−300 Will Increase Resource and Reliability Thanks to New Developments.
