The tug "Captain Ushakov" sank at the pier of the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg, the publication reported. The ship went under water on the morning of August 9, after it began to list on the evening of August 8.

City emergency services and duty teams of the Baltic Shipyard, as well as a team from the Yaroslavl Shipyard, whose tug became a participant in the incident, worked on the site all night. The company leases the pier where the incident occurred.
The tug of project 23470, built in Yaroslavl and launched on June 14, 2022, completed its completion and equipment at the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg. Its main tasks include towing in ice and clear water, escorting ships in ports and at sea, assisting in mooring, extinguishing fires and removing from shallows.
