Exercises of the radiation, chemical and biological protection (NBC) units of the Baltic Fleet took place at one of the training grounds in the Kaliningrad region. More than 100 military personnel were involved in them. This was reported by the press service of the fleet.
Specialists of the NBC protection unit organized the protection of troops using modern equipment. While moving on the march, they used the latest RKhM-6 chemical reconnaissance vehicles (created on the basis of the BTR-80), and also took soil samples, carried out dosimetric and chemical control of soil and water bodies.
As the press service of the Baltic Fleet explained, universal processing stations on the chassis of KamAZ vehicles were used to rescue conditionally infected military personnel.
Military personnel fulfilled the standards for aerosol masking, countering the guidance systems of high-precision weapons of a mock enemy and technical reconnaissance equipment.
