The crew of the patrol ship "Viktor Veliky" (project 22160) destroyed an air target in the Baltic Sea from the naval-based "TOR-M2" anti-aircraft missile system. The "Uran" target missile launched from the corvette "Stoyky" (project 20380) was used as a target.
After completing the firing task, the crew of the patrol ship conducted a series of ship exercises - on electronic warfare, damage control, anti-sabotage defense, and maneuvering elements were practiced.
The department clarified that "Viktor Veliky" was involved in the "July Storm" exercises, which will end on July 27. The training ground where the missile firings were carried out was closed in advance to civilian ships and aircraft.
"Viktor Veliky" was laid down in November 2016 at the Zelenodolsk plant. It was launched in May 2024. The ship is currently undergoing state tests.
