The "NIO of the airframe design" at PJSC "Yakovlev" is responsible for the frame of the new import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft. Employees of the enterprise conduct research and choose the materials from which the aircraft frame will be made.
Specialists develop fundamental design solutions that meet the strength, functional, and other design requirements for the aircraft.
They also determine the shape of the structural parts and calculate their strength, provide the necessary systems, giving them the opportunity to find a place and secure themselves in the aircraft.
They issue technical requirements and design documentation for the airframe design for further manufacturing of the aircraft frame in production, as well as to ensure its design life and modifications during operation.
They participate in the testing of both units and samples, as well as the aircraft as a whole, and develop evidentiary documents for its certification.
More than 90 people work in the "NIO of the airframe design" in three cities of Russia — Moscow, Taganrog, and Voronezh.
