The \"NIO Aircraft Structure Design\" at PJSC \"Yakovlev\" is responsible for the frame of the new import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft. The company's employees conduct research and choose the materials from which the aircraft frame will be made.
Specialists develop fundamental design solutions that meet the strength, functional, and other design requirements for the aircraft.
They also determine the shape of the structural parts and calculate their strength, providing the necessary systems, allowing them to find a place and be fixed in the aircraft.
They issue technical requirements and design documentation for the aircraft structure for further manufacturing of the aircraft frame in production, as well as to ensure its design life and modifications during operation.
They participate in the testing of both units and samples, as well as the aircraft as a whole, and develop supporting documents for its certification.
More than 90 people work in the \"NIO Aircraft Structure Design\" in three Russian cities — Moscow, Taganrog, and Voronezh.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that 14 MS-21 aircraft have been assembled at Rostec factories to replace Airbus and Boeing.
