As part of serial production, 14 MC-21-310 aircraft have been assembled at the enterprises of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec). This was announced in the press service of the state corporation.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a strategic session on the development of the aviation industry stated that the MC-21 and "Baikal" aircraft at the end of 2026 should be ready for mass production.
As part of the deployment of serial production, 14 MC-21 airframes have already been assembled, and another nine aircraft are at earlier stages of construction.
The state corporation recalled that the experienced MC-21 is currently performing certification flights in "Zhukovsky". The second import-substituted machine is undergoing ground testing at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant and will soon join flight tests.
