PJSC KAMAZ and SUE Mosgortrans have signed a new contract for the supply of 700 KAMAZ-52222 electric buses of the latest generation. Deliveries will be carried out in stages until the end of 2027. The manufacturer will provide maintenance and repair of equipment for 15 years.
In March 2025, the production of fifth-generation KAMAZ-52222 electric buses began. These electric buses are distinguished by a robust design and a high degree of component unification.
The new model features an increased range of up to 90 km and more capacious traction batteries. The appearance of the electric bus has been redesigned taking into account modern trends and the requirements of Moscow transport. A transition to domestic high-functional lighting equipment has also been implemented.
Inside the electric bus, a more efficient climate system is installed, the interior layout is optimized, and the passenger capacity is increased to 85 people, of which 35 are seated.
The driver's seat has become more comfortable — there is more space, heated steering wheel and an "electronic" hand brake. KAMAZ-52222 received an active driver assistance system (ADAS 1+), including lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the production of hydraulics for Kamaz trucks will be handled by an enterprise in the Zaporozhye region.
