An active construction of a new plant for the production of containerboard and paper for corrugation is underway in the urban district of Kashira in the Moscow region. The enterprise will become part of the Kashira special economic zone and will be implemented by Arkhbum Liner, which is part of the Arkhangelsk PPM holding.
The cooperation agreement between representatives of the company and the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, was signed at the SPIEF.
According to the acting head of the district, Evgeny Tertyshnikov, this project is a significant step in the development of the region's industry. It will not only create 249 new jobs, but also strengthen Kashira's status as a center for modern and environmentally responsible production.
The total cost of the project is 22.9 billion rubles, and the planned annual output is 325 thousand tons. The plant will focus on recycling waste paper and using modern technologies, which will minimize the negative impact on the environment.
Pavel Smirnov, Executive Director of Arkhbum Liner, noted that the choice of Kashira for the construction of the plant was not accidental. Convenient logistics will ensure efficient supply of enterprises in the Moscow region, Ulyanovsk, Penza and Voronezh, and the proximity of the river is important for production processes with high water consumption.
The launch of the new production is scheduled for 2028 and will be an important factor for the economic growth of Kashira, opening up new opportunities for the employment of local residents and increasing the investment attractiveness of the district.
