Russian automaker AvtoVAZ has revealed the base equipment of the new Lada Azimut crossover.
The base trim already includes a multimedia system (with a 10\" screen and 6 speakers) and a digital instrument cluster with built-in navigation, a rear-view camera, full LED optics, a tire pressure monitoring system, and keyless entry.
The standard equipment of the car will include options such as a panoramic roof with a sunroof, heated side windows, dual-zone climate control, and an electric tailgate.
It was previously reported that the Lada Azimut will be equipped with three engines: a 1.8-liter engine with 132 hp, a 1.6-liter engine with 120 hp, and the introduction of a Chinese 1.5-liter turbo engine with 150 hp is also planned, tentatively in two years.
It is important to note that the new crossover will be exclusively front-wheel drive, as the Lada Vesta platform is not designed for all-wheel drive. These characteristics emphasize AvtoVAZ's desire to offer a competitive product in the crossover market.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ officially presented Lada Azimut.
