Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak spoke about an unusual offer from Yandex. During his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, he said that he was invited to register as a taxi driver and evaluate the work of the digital service.
I recently met with Yandex, and they suggested that I simply register and become a taxi driver as part of the discussion. I said, of course, no problem. The only thing is, I don't have time to drive a taxi.
According to Novak, the registration process in Yandex GO has become much simpler thanks to modern technologies. Now, if a person has a driver's license and a medical certificate, he can become a taxi driver in just 15 minutes. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that previously taxis were called through taxi fleets, and now anyone can quickly register on a digital platform.
