The Tatarstan sports and technical club "Naikom extreme" and the Belarusian "Motovelo Plant" have announced the start of cooperation to create inexpensive motorcycles for beginners. The President of the Motorcycle Federation of Tatarstan, Nail Khubbatullin, said that the agreement has already been signed. As part of the project, a MINSK-branded cross motorcycle will be developed, which is planned to be tested at the training ground in Naberezhnye Chelny.
A prototype of the new motorcycle should be ready by August 2025. Khubbatullin emphasized that the main goal is to create affordable models that will be significantly cheaper than those existing on the market. In the future, it is also planned to develop an enduro motorcycle, which will be aimed at beginner riders.
In addition, the possibility of holding an international motocross race, which may take place in 2026, is being discussed. The event will be an important step for popularizing motorcycle sports in the region. It is important to note that the current catalog of the "Motovelo Plant" already has an enduro model X250, but details about which motorcycle will become the basis for new models have not yet been disclosed.
