Минпросвещения против электронных учебников: традиционные книги останутся в школе

First Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Bugaev emphasized the importance of traditional forms of education

The transition to electronic textbooks in Russian schools is unacceptable. This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Bugaev during a government hour in the State Duma, dedicated to the protection of schoolchildren's health and the development of physical culture.

Bugaev emphasized that the ministry is currently working to reduce the cost of state textbooks that will be used in the educational process. He also noted that electronic resources can only serve as a supplement to traditional books, and not a replacement for them.

In September 2023, Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov also confirmed that the transition to electronic textbooks is not being considered. He announced the preparation of unified school textbooks in all subjects, which will be developed within three years. In this context, Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky presented a unified state textbook on world history and the history of Russia for grades 10–11.
