At the CIPR-2025 conference, Fplus presented a prototype of the first Russian portable game console. The device exists in three versions with different form factors (screen size, control layout) and pre-installed domestic operating systems: Alt OS, Aurora, and Uncom OS.
The buttons are marked with the letters АБВГ instead of ABXY. A complete transition to the Russian electronic component base, including its own processor, is planned within five years.
These are specialized developer kits designed to test performance and debug games. The technical characteristics of the prototype are declared as sufficient to run modern game projects.
According to the developers, the console is at technology readiness level TRL 5. This means that its operability has already been demonstrated on a detailed model in conditions close to real ones. The choice of a portable form factor is due to the growing demand for mobile gaming.
The project roadmap is designed for 5 years and includes entering the device into the Register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, a gradual increase in the share of the Russian electronic component base (ECB) to 20-40%, and the prospect of using a domestic processor. Further development depends on cooperation with innovation centers (such as the Skolkovo Foundation) and public-private partnership resources.
