The car is equipped with an 11.1-liter YaMZ-653 turbo diesel with a capacity of 367 horsepower and a torque of 1800 Nm, the Telegram channel RCI News | Russian Car Industry reported. The truck is also equipped with a 9-speed YaMZ-1909 mechanical gearbox, a ZMT transfer case with a downshift and an interaxle differential lock.
At the COMvex exhibition in Moscow, it was announced that JSC "Romanov", part of the VKO "Almaz-Antey" concern, has begun developing equipment for African countries.

The first BAZ flagships with a 6x6 wheel arrangement stand out with a unique transport axle with independent suspension. This is the first production car with such suspension produced in Russia. The level of localization at the start exceeds 90%. Now the cars are undergoing certification tests at NAMI.
Earlier it became known that the Almaz-Antey concern will launch mass production of a civilian version of BAZ trucks in St. Petersburg.
