A rare 1967 Soviet GAZ-69 SUV has appeared for sale on the popular German classifieds site mobile.de. The car has undergone a major technical upgrade.
Under the hood, the GAZ-69 has a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine from the American brand Buick paired with a TH350 automatic transmission. The SUV's power has increased to 177 horsepower - a figure that would have been impossible for Soviet mass production. The GAZ-69 is also equipped with a Dana 300 transfer case.
The car received reinforced axles from UAZ with Tibus Bolt electronic locks, front disc brakes, and 17-inch Felgen beadlock wheels, on which Maxxis off-road tires sized 37/12.5x17 are mounted. The suspension has been adapted to the new components, and the frame structure has been reinforced. Inside the car, there are sports seats with OMP racing belts.
The car's mileage is 50 thousand km.
