A large investment project to build a plant for the production of tires for грузовой транспорт is planned to be implemented in the Omsk Region. This is reported by the website of the Russian government following a working meeting between First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and the governor of the region, Vitaly Khotsenko.
It is noted that the volume of investments in the project is estimated at several tens of billions of rubles. The new plant should contribute to achieving Russia's technological sovereignty, which corresponds to the tasks set by President Vladimir Putin.
The name of the potential investor has not yet been disclosed. The press service of the regional government only noted that the discussion of the project is in an active stage.
To date, there are already two tire enterprises operating in Omsk, which are part of the Cordiant holding: «Кордиант-Восток» and АО «Омскшина».
