Many countries want to join the nuclear energy club, and we are ready to work with everyone. Negotiations are underway with about two dozen countries. These include Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, and I very much hope, one more European country.

Uzbekistan plans to build a small nuclear power plant, with the project expected to start in approximately three years. Kazakhstan is currently selecting contractors for the construction of a large nuclear power plant. The shortlist of potential reactor technology suppliers includes not only "Rosatom", but also the Korean company KHNP, the French EDF, and the Chinese CNNC. Intergovernmental agreements and contracts are expected to be signed in November of this year.

As for Kyrgyzstan, last week "Rosatom" submitted a preliminary feasibility study (pre-FS) to the country's Ministry of Energy for the construction of a small nuclear power plant project.

The state corporation is also ready to offer the construction of two VVER-1200 units in Vietnam. Likhachev previously explained that the country decided to return to the Ninh Thuan-1 NPP project, which was suspended in 2016. In January, Rosatom Energy Projects and the Electricity Corporation of Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding to develop cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rosatom may decommission the BN-350 sodium-cooled reactor at MAEK in Kazakhstan.
