Lada will participate in the Russian Circuit Racing Championship in the Formula 4 class. Photos of the AvtoVAZ bolide have been shown online.
The racing tournament will consist of six stages from May to October. The first race is scheduled for May 16-18. It will take place at the Moscow Raceway track.
Tatuus F4-T421 cars were chosen to participate in the races — a mono-class with open wheels for novice racers. The bolides are covered in the signature liveries of their racing teams. A special livery in the traditional colors of the brand was developed for the Lada team.
The cars will be serviced by representatives of the Lada Sport ROSNEFT Junior karting team. Artyom Severyukhin (who took third place in last season's races) and Yaroslav Shevyrtalov (Russian vice-champion in the KZ2 class) will become the "pilots" of the Lada racing bolides.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the racing version of the Lada Iskra with a 173 hp engine appeared at the Lada Sport dealership.
