Russia may be developing weapons that are more powerful than the medium-range ballistic missile "Oreshnik". This was stated by military expert Anatoly Matviychuk.
According to him, the new missile will have non-nuclear equipment and an increased range.
I believe that Russia is developing weapons that are more powerful than "Oreshnik", but in a non-nuclear version. Most likely, this is a ballistic missile, not a cruise missile, but with an even greater range. We just don't publicize these developments.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the combat units of "Oreshnik" attack targets at a speed of up to 10 Mach or about 3 km/s, and Western air defense systems do not have the ability to intercept them. The range of the missile is up to 5,500 km.
Military expert Vladimir Gundarov added that the "Oreshnik" missile accelerates to Mach 11 by the time it reaches orbital altitude and from there heads to the target in a cocoon of hot plasma, an additional natural protection for such warheads.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the RD-107/RD-108 engines for the Soyuz rockets reached a reliability rate of 99.9%.
