Specialists from the Don State Technical University (DSTU) in Rostov-on-Don have developed the first Russian unmanned wheeled tractor of traction class with a hybrid drive called "DONTEH".
The robot tractor was developed without any cabin, which is not needed for modern equipment operating in unmanned mode. The machine has a carrying capacity of up to 3.2 tons.
The traction force of the promising tractor reaches 12 kN (1.2 tf). In addition to the absence of a machine operator, the new machine, due to the use of a hybrid power plant, is characterized by fuel economy.
The level of Russian components in the design of the prototype tractor "DONTEH" reaches 90%. By 2030, the final version of the machine is planned to be launched into mass production.
