In 2012, the company "Russian Railways" (RZD) became a participant in the construction of the "Vostochny" Cosmodrome. Hundreds of thousands of tons of cargo were delivered by steel магистралям to the construction site – the "Ledyanaya" station of the Trans-Baikal Railway.

The "gateway to space" was opened in 2016. In nine years, about two dozen launches have been carried out from the "Vostochny" Cosmodrome.
