США не допустили поставку в Россию оплаченных авиазапчастей на $500 млн

Moscow Awaits Recognition of Airbus and Boeing Aircraft Repairs Conducted by Russian Companies

The United States is holding aircraft parts purchased by Russia for approximately $500 million, according to Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov.

The Russian government insists on receiving these components, as they are crucial for the functioning of the aviation industry.

We have about $500 million worth of spare parts stuck in the US for the needs of our aviation industry, which have already been paid for. Therefore, I think that we, as representatives of consumers, would be interested in unblocking the supply of these spare parts. It would be important.
Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation

The Russian side also demands recognition of the repair work carried out on Airbus and Boeing aircraft, performed under sanctions, without the need for verification of licenses from foreign manufacturers.

A number of issues, if such a move is in our interests, we will work through. For example, the recognition of repair work on foreign aircraft, I mean Airbus and Boeing, which are produced by Russian companies, respectively, under sanctions without the corresponding verification of licenses from foreign manufacturers.
Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation

Andrey Patrakov, founder of the flight safety and certification service RunAvia, stated that special attention is paid to avionics components, which can often only be repaired by their manufacturers. For example, the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) is mainly produced and serviced by the American company Honeywell. Consumables (brake discs, tires, and engine parts) are also critical for the safe operation of aircraft.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Aeroflot figured out how to obtain sanctioned spare parts for aircraft.
