Vessel of project 00216M will be commissioned in April

Control tests of the chemical tanker "Azimuth-1" (project 00216M), built at the production site of the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center, have begun on the Volga River. This was reported by the press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).

The cargo vessel can be used for transporting crude oil and petroleum products in bulk. Three types of cargo can be transported in one voyage.

The chemical tanker was built by order of Eurasia-Shipping Caspian LLC. The vessel will be commissioned in April.

The mixed river-sea navigation tanker was designed by specialists from the Nevsky Design and Engineering Bureau.

Characteristics of vessels of project 00216M: greatest length — 141 m, width — 16.7 m, board height — 6 m, deadweight in fresh water at a draft of 3.60 m — about 5350 tons, autonomy — 15 days, speed — up to 10 knots.
