State Duma deputies want to tighten the rules regarding advertising on cars. They have submitted a bill that expands the ban on the use of cars as advertising structures, and also increases responsibility for non-compliance with these rules.

Deputies want to amend the law "On Advertising". Currently, it restricts the use of cars as mobile advertising structures and prohibits the conversion of bodies. The new bill intends to remove the word "mobile", which will lead to a ban on the use of trailers and cars occupying parking spaces for advertising purposes.
As indicated in the explanatory note, the condition of the car losing its main functions is excluded, which will allow any use of the vehicle mainly for advertising to be considered a violation.
In addition, placing advertising on vehicles and changing the appearance of the body will be equated to changes in the design. After that, the use of such a car on public roads will be prohibited.
