The Russian military has received modernized T-80BVM tanks. The crew commander with the call sign Siniy spoke about the differences between the combat vehicle and tanks of previous generations.
According to him, more experienced specialists are needed to operate this tank, who receive the necessary experience from combat comrades at training grounds.
The system here is completely new, the tank is modernized. It differs from previous tanks, there is a new all-weather thermal imaging system, as well as an improved fire control system.
Т-80БВМ is a further modernization of the T-80BV tank. The vehicle is equipped with a Sosna-U multi-channel gunner's sight, a more advanced 125-millimeter 2A46M-4 gun, a modified gas turbine engine, and Relikt dynamic protection.
Technical characteristics of T-80BVM:
Tank weight — 46 tons, engine power — 1250 hp, maximum speed on the highway — 70 km/h, on a dirt road — 45 km/h, depth of overcoming a water obstacle with appropriate equipment — 5 m.
