Sales of the Lada Niva Sport, the most powerful version of the Niva available in mass production, will begin at the beginning of next month, namely on April 5.
Today, VAZ dealers were given the start date for sales of the Niva Sport model: April 5, on the birthday of the Niva.
Lada Niva Sport is an improved version of the Niva, which differs not only in higher power, but also in an updated suspension, as well as a modernized interior with a single transfer case control lever.
The car will receive a reinforced body and new engines: the base version will have a 1.8-liter engine with 90 horsepower, which will completely replace the old engine from the Zhiguli. The top version, called Silk Way, will have a boosted 1.8-liter engine with 144 horsepower. However, it is not yet clear whether the Silk Way version will be available immediately at the start of sales.
The new Russian Lada Niva Sport SUV, which will go on sale in 2025, will costabout 1.6 million rubles.
