The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) military-industrial holding has successfully tested an engine with import-substituted components for nuclear power. This was announced by Mikhail Danilenko, Managing Director of KMZ.
The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant is successfully testing components for the D100 engine as part of its own test bench for the needs of Rosenergoatom.
The D100 engine is designed to provide electricity to consumers during an emergency shutdown of the main power source at a nuclear power plant.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UEC had started "growing" combustion chamber parts for industrial engines.
