AvtoVAZ did not postpone the launch of serial production of its new Lada Iskra model. This was reported by the Telegram channel Lada Iskra club.
A few days ago, it became known that AvtoVAZ allegedly temporarily postponed the start of serial production of Lada Iskra. The reason for the delay was a shortage of components, according to the company "Automotive Systems and Technologies", which supplies engine control harnesses for Lada Iskra.
I received a message from a representative of JSC "ASTech/SKK" that the information about postponing the serial launch of the Lada Iskra car is not reliable. This is old information taken from open sources, which indicated that AvtoVAZ postponed the launch date of the Lada Iskra model from winter to spring 2025. There is no talk of shifting the start of production from April 19. Currently, the company "Automotive Systems and Technologies" is actively producing harnesses engine control for the car at the plant in Chapayevsk.
The Lada Iskra car will be offered in sedan, station wagon and cross-station wagon bodies. The model will receive a 1.6-liter engine (90 and 106 hp) with a manual gearbox (5- or 6-speed) or a variator.
