The first shots of the new UAZ "Patriot" car with a diesel engine have appeared. Visually, the car does not differ from the version with a 2.7-liter gasoline engine, but it drives completely differently.
The new engine and cable-operated six-speed manual transmission have made the car more responsive. The gearbox does not have the main disadvantage of the "five-speed" - inaccurate gear shifting.
The UAZ "Patriot" will receive a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine with a power of 136 hp paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The units are produced at the "Sollers" plants in Yelabuga and Zavolzhye.
Mass production of the UAZ "Patriot" with a new power unit will start in Ulyanovsk in the fourth quarter of 2025.
