Первый в России VR-тренажер по тактической медицине разработали в СамГМУ и ВМА

New simulator will allow for faster learning of aid algorithms

The S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy (MMA), in collaboration with the Samara State Medical University (SamSMU), has developed Russia's first tactical medicine simulator using virtual reality technology.

The simulator includes scenarios developed by the MMA and implemented in VR format. The main innovation is that it is the first tactical medicine simulator in the country. The main goal of training with it is to practice first aid and self-help skills in combat conditions.

The simulator offers several training scenarios: in the red zone — for self-help in case of gunshot and other wounds, and in the yellow zone — for helping another victim.

The key advantage of the virtual simulator is the user's complete immersion in realistic situations, which allows for faster learning of action algorithms and applying them in extreme conditions.

The VR simulator is designed for educational organizations of secondary and higher education. It will help popularize first aid skills among young people in an accessible and convenient form. The knowledge gained with the VR simulator will be useful not only in combat conditions, but also in the event of natural and man-made disasters, as well as in traffic accidents.
