В BMW Group отказалась от ответственности за автомобили, собранные из остатков машинокомплектов на «Автоторе»

The company stated that the X5, X6, and X7 assembled at the Kaliningrad plant may not meet quality and safety standards

BMW Group has officially stated that it is not responsible for cars assembled at the Avtotor plant after the company's departure from Russia.

It is emphasized that BMW Group is not responsible for the operation of these vehicles, as they were not manufactured within the corporation's unified production network.

The company also suggested that such cars may not meet BMW's strict quality and safety standards, which could pose potential risks to drivers, passengers, and other road users.

This concerns the X5, X6, and X7 models assembled from vehicle kits remaining after the termination of the production and supply contract in March 2022. BMW emphasized that the assembly of these cars and their commissioning were carried out without the consent or participation of the concern, which owns the trademark and intellectual property rights.

The German company also stated that it does not consider these cars as officially produced for the Russian market. Consequently, they are not subject to warranty repairs and maintenance at official BMW centers.

The Kaliningrad Avtotor plant declined to comment on reports of the release of a batch of BMW cars.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Avtotor plant had assembled a batch of unique BMWs from leftover vehicle kits.
