The SKAT 350 M reconnaissance drone withstood dozens of hull penetrations and maintained control. The device received fragmentation damage during an interception attempt.
The striking elements damaged the drone's components and wiring, but it was able to land.
It retained control and all capabilities for transmitting video and telemetry signals, completed the task to the end, and was brought to landing by the crew. During landing, the parachute did not deploy (melted by fragments), resulting in a hard landing.
Nevertheless, the SKAT 350M is still recoverable. The large margin of safety of Russian drones allows them to successfully perform tasks in difficult conditions.
SKAT 350 M is actively used along the entire line of combat contact. It has detected RM-70 Vampire MLRS, various military equipment, fuel and lubricant and ammunition depots, military enterprises, and other targets, which were subsequently destroyed by high-precision strikes.
The drone's wingspan is 3.2 m, which allows it to perform tasks at different altitudes. For each operational flight, the SKAT 350M UAV covers a distance of at least 240 km.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that an innovative Avatar reconnaissance drone with a range of up to 40 km has been developed in Russia.
