The United Engine Corporation (ODK) explained the device and named the characteristics of the DT-8 fuel dispenser for the automatic control system (ACS) of the new PD-8 aircraft engine.
The company recalled that the ACS controls the most important parameters for efficient and economical operation of the power plant — thrust mode, fuel injection, its pressure and temperature, pressure and air flow velocity in the compressor.
It also regulates the gaps between the rotor and stator of high and low pressure turbines, the rotation speeds of the fan and turbocharger.
In close cooperation, specialists from ODK enterprises created the latest domestic PD-8 aircraft engine. Employees of the Perm ODK-STAR also made their invaluable contribution – they developed and designed the SAU-8 for the new engine. The system was created in a record short time: from the moment the terms of reference were signed until the first sample was assembled, only a year and a half passed.
Only domestic materials and radio-electronic component base are used in the design of SAU-8. The ACS is able to work flawlessly even at temperatures up to 1100 degrees Celsius.
