Aeroflot to Introduce Additional Moscow - Nha Trang Flights from March 23: Twice a Week on Airbus A330

Flights added amid a 197% increase in Russian tourist flow to Vietnam over the year

Aeroflot Airlines will introduce additional flights from Moscow to Nha Trang starting March 23. This was announced by the airline's press service on March 18. Flights will be operated twice a week on Airbus A330 aircraft: departure from Moscow on Mondays and Thursdays, return flight from Nha Trang on Tuesdays and Fridays. Passengers will be offered more than 9,400 additional seats. Ticket sales are open.

The new flights are opening against the backdrop of explosive growth in Russian tourist flow to Vietnam. According to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, in 2025, Russia rose to fifth place among foreign countries in terms of the number of tourist trips to Vietnam — an increase of 197% compared to 2024.

The Russian tourist flow reached 690 thousand people, exceeding the pre-COVID levels of 2019 by almost 7%. Last year, 31 additional flights were already launched between the countries on 15 new routes. In parallel, from March to June, Aeroflot is introducing 43 additional paired flights between Moscow and Bangkok, Phuket, Male, and Colombo.

Russia and Vietnam are working on launching a mechanism for group visa-free tourist trips — the parties are discussing an intergovernmental agreement. Last year, the permitted period of stay on an electronic visa in Russia was extended from 16 to 30 days.

The choice of Airbus A330 — a wide-body aircraft with a capacity of 250 to 440 passengers, depending on the configuration — indicates a high projected demand on the route. Nha Trang remains one of the key resort centers of Vietnam with developed beach infrastructure and stable demand among Russian tourists all year round.
