After a thermobaric projectile from the TOS-2 "Tosochka" heavy flamethrower system hits the target, a cloud of combustible mixture is formed. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The mixture seeps into all cracks in the ground, depressions, and shelters. It ignites and burns out all the oxygen.
In addition, an area of low pressure is formed there, so even those who were not injured during the detonation receive very serious injuries to internal organs, the so-called barotrauma, so protection in this situation will not help.
The complex is equipped with a powerful and passable suspension, an armored cabin, and an anti-drone net. Heavy flamethrower systems belong to the troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection. At the moment, they are working at the request of assault units.
